Dear Windsock: Those who forget or ignore history are bound to repeat it. Most auditors I have seen do very poorly on valuing custom IT assets. Customized FABs are even harder. IP is even more problematic. How many people (even so called experts) looked at a "squirt gun patent" and saw virtually zero worth (Look up the patent for the "Super Soaker" line sometime). The opposite is just as misvalued. Priceless is given to those products that are so custom that replacement value is hard or impossible to value. Pete
