Sorry, in your post you said not one word about engineers. You taled about a plane that is not cost effective and polutes more per passsanger carried, and a company that is fifth largest. what is the fifth largest cookie maker? The fifth largest auto maker? Being fifth does not mean much.

<<Tommy Boy,

The French are enjoying today and tomorrow away from work, celebrating May Day with gorgeous topless women on the beaches of the
Riviera.

About now they are popping open bottles of glorious French wine, and watching the sun set while you are getting your panties in a knot
over GWB and your nonsense techo-babble.

For 30 years people flew from Paris to New York in 4 hours on an amazing French jet, and the 5th largest semiconductor company in the
world is located in France.

Peut-être vous devriez obtenir votre constipated l'derrière hors de votre chaise, montez dans un avion et découvrez comment apprécier la vie?

Engineers from practically every developed nation on earth are generally respected.

The exception being this 100 post a day guy on SI who wants to shove the Kyoto Protocols down our throat even though the Senate voted 95-0 against it. LOL
