European trip was terrific. Also signed-up a couple of really good accounts a week ago Wed, Thur & Fri in Atlanta, Houston (would have called you but I forgot you're there) and St. Louis. Needless to say, from St. L it was on to Keeneland for the weekend before heading home. (I was robbed!) <g> Left a few shekels at Trophies in your neck of the woods too. When I began as a retail broker the rookies were in the "bull pen" in the middle of the office with no privacy at all but it was fun. Friends were surprised after I started that my only complaint was that I missed following the market closely. Too busy trying to drum-up biz, or as it was known then (and still might be) "dialing for dollars." Hartford? What a drag. I "trained" in NYC and almost partied myself to death--couldn't have made a fourth week so thank goodness it was only three weeks of late nights and parties. If you're interested in heading to the track while you're in CT lemme know. Good luck in your new career, and make sure not to let 'em dumb you down. Most managers are convinced that intelligent people don't make good brokers, and I believe it can be a handicap.
