The area of "shortsightedness" (if that's even a word <g>) is the focus on pure production. We can produce all the oil we want and we still don't have the facilities to deal with the problem. There are plenty of areas in the US to drill! Way more than most people believe. The issue isn't the environmental aspect but rather what good does it do us to create the environmental problems when we can't even get the product refined? In terms of foreign deployment of refineries - that is being lead in large part by the countries themselves. They see DOUGH BALLS headed their way for pure gas because we can't make it fast enough! Can you say Pandora's Box?

Good morning OMD
No real point here but you may find it interesting
I live about 30 miles from 3 refineries in Wood River Il
There is a small town right next to the refineries called south roxana about 5 years ago the people that lived there were on the news because if they dug a hole about a foot deep in there yard the could light the dirt...pretty blue flame
Now why doesn't anybody want one of these things in there back yard<s>
