I've just noticed that they are commonly found around northern Europe. See the map of their location in the link.

It says here oceanlink.island.net that Koreans consume about 5 million pounds of hagfish a year [I suppose that's due to their CDMA enthusiasm - there are no live GSM hagfish in Korea]
