Dear Tench: A clustered UMA system is a NUMA system. What is the difference in your definitions between the two? Writes are posted directly to the NB directly connected to the memory and only the local caches of the NB and its two cores need to be updated. In the second solution, one of the local CPUs (or NB, if hardware assisted) directly connected to the memory sends packets to all listed remote CPUs with a notify containing that address. Although coherent HTT may refer to something else than cache coherency (probably how the data streams inside the connection). Pete
