Blow Hard Dan - re: "AMD expects to be selling "value" 64 bit processors against Intel's "value" 32 bit P4 in the 2003 time frame."

Gee...did AMD just announce another 1 year slip from the already SLIPPED schedule of late 2002?

"Isn't that why AMD is adding SSE/SSE2 to the Athlon family?"

By P4 friendly, I am referring more to the integer pipeline than the floating-point pipeline. Yes, SSE(2) support will also need to be widely embraced, but AMD should do nothing to discourage this development.
