Lee, I vote not to ban AS.

He/she/it is really of great entertainment value. Let's face it, Mr. Market is at a critical junction, and, the good Lord knows AS may even get this right!

Frankly, I believe we saw the high on the DJIA today for the next three months, but at 96% cash in my little Phleet I'm a bit biased. While the TA folks might down play the role of the DJIA, it has been amazing that these 30 stocks have tracked the performance results of the SnP so well over the 30 years that I've analyzed.

It was almost funny to listen to the talking heads today. "We've called around and nobody knows why the sudden fall in this 'Index,'" or something similar. Could it possibly be that we hit that down trend line some 16 months in the making? Arguing with that line has not been prudent to this point.

The only - only reservation that I have is that I felt the same way in the fourth quarter of 1999, only to see a violent breakout. In review, it made me understand that "don't fight the Fed" refers to the liquidity issue, not interest rates.

If, and only if, the DJIA closes above 10,870 this week and the Cubes close above ~$48.50 will I try to find my Bull horns. FWIW I'll be putting about 25% of my little Phleet into USPIX tommarow afternoon, believing that it is not going to happen.

To AS and all, I would say that fighting a 16 month down trend line is simply foolish. Then, I'm a really a student of FA, and it really sucks.

As Always, Just A View from the Swamp.
