Dear Tench:

Why are you assuming that Coherent HTT refers to cache coherence? A laser is coherent, if all the photons arrive at the same time, phase and, direction. This can be extended to data which arrives at the same time in lock step. It also sometimes refers to simultaneous bidirectional data transfer. It was not referred to in the text as cache coherence. The 760MP requires it because the two CPUs contend for the same local memory.
