Petz and JF,

<John, Intel should spin off the Comm business as soon as it turns up, which will probably happen within a year>
Intel better do that spin-off ASAP. But, forgive my bluntness, Intel's comm business is already dead w.r.t to its purposes. The comm infrastructure sector is in a deep hole. Companies like TI, MOT, AMCC, VTSS, BRCM, PMCS, TXCC, etc. already flood this segment and are struggling to justified their current valuation. None of products in Intel's comm business is the leader in its own niche. Also you need to be extremely focused in comm sector, because talents are so scarce and they generally don't like large companies, IMHO.

The day Intel spins off its comm and refocus on its core business, siren shoud arise in AMD's headquarter.
