So is the Summerland area an abandoned ghost town today? Has the entire California Coastline been destroyed? Are there any signs of that 1969 spill still visible? Perhaps the subsequent history of that 800 square mile crude slick and it's aftermath would be interesting. I suppose that is one of the reasons behind the rolling blackouts that we are going to see over the Summer in California. I suppose that is the tradeoff we need to make.
