Yes, our public education system is truly a national disgrace. When the media harp on arsenic and other such "crisis's of the month". Our poorest of poor children are stuck in a system which practically guarantees failure. The defenders of the status quo have defined the word "insanity" to a tee. "Let's do the same thing over and over and expect a different result", and defend with our last breath any real systemic change to the system of public education.
