P4 benchmarks show 90% boost

According to ZD Net DE

A REPORT ON A GERMAN WIRE shows that new Nvidia drivers coupled with Pentium 4 CPUs, and new V12.0 drivers from Nvidia has resulted in improved business app performance of 90 per cent, a Web site is reporting.

According to the account, which you can find here, ZD Net in Germany posted the results, which will certainly cause some bats to fly out of their roosts and timbers to shiver.

According to ZDNet.de, that gaming benchmarks weren't affected. ZD is providing the drivers on its own site, and you can find the link at all-about-pc.de, above.

The sitemeister told The Inquirer,"Being really sceptical, I downloaded the v12.0 drivers for Win2K and checked them out myself. I didn't quite get 90%, but two sections of the six Specviewperf tests (AWadvs-04 and DX-06) increased by 50%.

"And ZDNet was totally wrong to say that games benchmarks weren't affected. Making no other change than updating the driver, my 1.4GHz P4/ABIT TH7/128MB 800MHz RAMBUS/ + an old GF2 MX system went from a 3DMark2001 score of 1785 to 1978."

Intel will be pleased. µ
