If rambus were to stick to within drdram, there might be very good applications like lcd flat panels or terrabit networking equipment buffers that doesn't need ram and can use a good lbsam (long burst sequential access memory). All kidding aside, these are not tiny insignificant markets to go after.

True. These are not insignificant applications. And you may even be right that DRDRAM would be competitive there. ...But we may have "other" plans for those markets.<Ho Ha8->
