Not to be a nitpicker, but that was a 156 point day. Q closed at 503 on 12/27/99, and surged to 659 at the close on 12/28/99. Simply amazing.

The butterflies are Painted Ladies flying out from the desert. It happens every few years...but this population is quite large. A wonderful sight.
