Dear Semiconeng: Having a great manufacturing base does not help a bad design. The other way is somewhat less problematical of late, having a good design but a bad manufacturing base. At least in the latter situation, you can contract the manufacturing like in fabless design companies. I was responding to your comments about tool reuse, and Copy Exactly. In that context, as a Process Engineer, none of that Design Stuff, Forecast Stuff, GAAP Stuff, interests me at all. Your attempt to change the subject due to your inability to prove your "Copy Exactly" point, is transparent. Semi
