LOL. I hate to sound like an old man, because I'm not even 40 yet, but when you invest your money in a company, you want them to put it to good use. ROE is the best measure of that, IMHO, and if it's in the single digits, it had better be a retail stock (and even then, it's not always the case; check out HD). The biggest reason I won't touch IP is that the company has no leverage. Look at the sales and price to sales ratio, and the stock looks dirt cheap, but then look at the earnings, ROE and margins. At their recent earnings peak, they had an ROE of 7. It's no wonder they've gone nowhere for years (that said, you can bet they're now due for another run at 60 -g-).

I love BA. The only stock I'm buying here. They're doing a great job. I won't love em too much; I'll be back out on a close below 60. ;-)
