I agree, will see. I did hear many calling a bottom.
On the other hand there's still many who don't
believe this rally and are skeptical. I will
keep a watch on the numbers you posted. I have
heard these numbers quoted as short term resistance.
In any case, it should be interesting as the
we get closer to them.

Paul,

I recall reading yesterday that the commercials are now at a record short level (the shorts on the S&P went up over the previous week). I don't know the ramifications of this, but it's reasonable to think we are not going anywhere without their help. So I'd be more comfortable (hope ?) if we go down and they unload before we think of a new bull run.

My question to you is this: why would a break of 2300 be convincing? Does not a quick break of 2300 only suggest that we may have further to fall? I mean, if the indexes (say, Compx) can be manipulated to reach here, can't they be manipulated to break 2300?

Just curious. Thanx.

Joseph

>>To turn under those levels would be one big negative<<

This will be a must-see event! If Heinz is right, this will be a great shorting opportunity.

Paul, on May 1, you said
>>I'll be a believer at 11,000, 1300, and 2300. To turn under those levels would be one big negative, IMHO. <<

3 weeks later, are you a believer? Heck, I know I'm not. It bothers me to see the market march as high and as quick as it has, and to see stocks that I like, not do the same. All the glamorous high-flyer types have risen.

Can't believe after Cisco's report a week ago, it's rising like this, lot of hope out there.
