Maurice - since I'm too old or inexperienced, I don't know anything about the finer points of "netiquite" - I'm just an estate planning lawyer with two cataract implants and eyes generally deteriorating from too much of this Q board over the past 2 1/2 years. Months ago, when I far more capital, I dreamed of cruising the New Zealand sub-Antarctic islands and travelling on South Island tracking New Zealand's many wonderful penguins; actually landed on Campbell and Enderby Islands on a Russian icebreaker on a December, 2000 Antarctica trip. Wanted another trip your way to see Fiordland, Snares, Erect Crested and Fairy Penguins, to leave me with only 2 or 3 more. However, since stocks have paid for and were going to pay for these trips, everything has been cancelled (hopefully only postponed). I was actually going to let you know I was coming. I was going to do lots of traveling with my laptop and Globalstar modem to keep me up to date with my office and my investments, all courtesy of the Q. Downloaded books on a tablet computer sounds pretty good as well. But.... 1999 seems so far away. I do wonder whether much of our expectations will come to fruition and whether Q will be superseded by more advanced technologies, but I guess we are seeing with WCDMA the havoc tremendous capital investments can cause and maybe CDMA will actually and ultimately reach speeds sufficient to discourage competition. In any event, my true retirement will be delayed many years and I'll just have to suffer here on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, NYC, USA. P.S. No one in my neighborhood would agree, but I think you are too had on GWB. The Chinese love to obfuscate and PUSH; they just don't appreciate someone pushing them back. So, the mellow, jello fellow is gone and the Texas cowboy has come North. The rules are different now and many will have to adapt. In the interior of this country he is widely appreciated; on the North coasts, mostly abhored (perhaps feared). Thanks for listening, John
