local VX store on lower US left coast has removed the Nokia 5185 from display and stopped selling them since they will not work with a new system VZ is installing in the next two years. No plans to recall phones since they will be eligible to be replaced by then. No plans to sell Nokia phones unless Nokia fixes the problem. Still have a stock of accessories, including many colors of faceplates.

Spot where Nokia Phone was displayed is empty except for a Verizon sign.

Local Rat Shack store still has the 5185 in stock. However, last week, the store person described the phone as built by a company too cheap to buy good parts, but made their own parts that did not seem to work very well.
