Run the charts back to early 1980's and both XAU and GOLD are negative since then (according to BigCharts). NASDAQ is only up 700% over the same period. And utilities have been a much better play than gold the past several months.

Not that you will listen, but now you have someone else to put on Ignore too.

I like to buy things breaking out of a base and if gold ever does make a convincing breakout, I'll buy it. Primarily because if it does, it'll be the only thing you can buy. It's the canary in the coal mine for inflation and there is nothing in the world worse for equities than inflation. There is certainly something to the argument that the FED has risked bringing back the inflation cycle with their pumping. Meanwhile other things are moving up on a rising floor of money. I like to go where the money goes.

Meanwhile nice base on CORV:

then click on CORV in upper right frame

Notice the blue line turning up right there at the far right. Yesterday blocks were coming back in bringing the money with them. Doesn't mean they'll stick, but it's a start.
