re: "Well, my handle is self given obviously! However I am holding all of my shares long and strong, and currently I own as much as I ever have. I too think AMD's best days are still ahead. Now it gets interesting!"

I continue to be very impressed with the relative (to you and me) sophistication of many of the various participants on this thread. They trade in and out of the common with uncanny timing; and, they participate in the use of such difficult, for me, to fully understand tools as puts, calls, spreads, and the like. I, as a matter of principle, will not employ derivative instruments that I "cannot get my arms around." I learned many years ago that such instruments were not for me. I admire the intellects of those who can employ them to their advantage. I, simply, have to admit that they are beyond my level of competence. I keep looking for exit strategies and proper timing for same from AMD common. It just never seems to come to pass. When the stock is in decline (and tears at my gut) logical analysis has yielded the conclusion that it has been the most undervalued. When it is up, and I have a strong temptation to take profits before they once again evaporate, the same kind of analysis gives way to the realization that AMDs common price is yet to reflect the extremely positive realities that are not yet priced in.

I do not trade. I am not good at it. I, long ago, realized my limitation in that area. I do not love the stock (or, at least, I try vigilantly not to.) I have and continue to be in it for what has proven to be for the very long term...until, of course, things do change.

Patient Regards,

DARBES
