Cisco to partner with IBM to develop next generation networking equipment: dailynews.yahoo.com George Gilder issued an interesting piece about a year and a half ago on the demise of SONET and how Cisco would become an assembler of commoditized parts. While this trend may not be clear yet (if it turns out to be true at all), this partnership shows that Cisco recognizes that the NP will drive future products. Very good for WIND. Brian
