Never having had a stock called away, I wasn't sure of the mechanism. In fact, I'm kind of looking forward to the experience just so I'll understand better. I mentioned the possibility that the option would not be called to a friend of mine and that I would be forced to hold the stock until expiration, just as a general concern, and he seemed to feel that at some point it would be exercised. Since he runs a small hedge fund, I presumed he knew what he was talking about, although apparently not. So I will just wait and see what transpires.

PPS And he makes an incredible amount of money for it.
