John, Fab25 will be producing Morgans, and T-birds. IMO. FAB 30 will be all Palomino's mobile and desktop/server.

UMC will produce DURON's for Corporate and Retail.

I'm sure AMD has a good stock pile of 1Ghz Duron's for release.

Thats my WAG.

M.

John, note they did say "second half of 2002 under a worst-case scenario."

Petz,

I think hammer is late.

I dont buy the SOI argument.

I know Palomino is late.

I don't buy its been ready but AMD has been waiting argument.

As far as UMC.

UMC has Cu and they have work ongoing with IBM.

UMC already does foundry for AMD on chipsets.

I think UMC will be gearing to supply 20% of AMD needs in 2002/2003.

They will likely build durons/morgans etc there would be my guess.

regards,

Kash
