"on which schedule?" -- yea, I thought of that. If its "on schedule" for mid 2002, I wouldn't consider it a great accomplishment.

Here's what was actually said:
My brother still works for amd. He used to work for communication but when
they sold 2/3 of the section, they combined the remaining with chipset unit.

My brother was in that group. The company wanted to keep workers in that
group, so they gave them a lot of bonus. My brother got nice bonus and he
used the money plus he sold some of his amd option for the down payment to
buy a new house in the Bay. Can you believe 4bed, 2 baths in San Jose, nice
area, for 600K. Crazy. But he was not that lucky all his amd options and
shares were down to the toilet when the market colapsed. He only sold 1/5
of the whole...


Well, I, for one, sincerely hope that AMD is giving boatloads of new stock options to people like this.

I also asked my friend if his brother can anwer the "Which schedule?" question. :)
