That thought entered my mind but AMD shouldn't have a yield problem with Durons or K6-2s. I wouldn't expect UMC to out yield AMD on AMD chips would you?

I know you will know this one. What's the procedure for AMD to transfer some chip production to a third party fab? Like, drawings, masks, information etc?

Hey here's a thought. As I have pointed out many times, AMD simply can't produce a large die(witness the fact that AMD has never produced a large die). Maybe they need an outside source to produce a large die device?
