The company officers and other insiders weren't. Get a load of the pages and pages of insider sales from this (relatively) tiny company during the last 12 months:

While the Rambus executives may have encouraged public stockholders to hang tough with their optimistic statements, they got out themselves - maybe they know all along what was going to happen.
