Dale, what do you think of the apparent decision by Sun to go with UMC for their processors?

Sun has previously used TI who (afaik) aren't exactly renowned for their amazing ASIC process. IMHO, this could be a very good move by Sun. The one issue I can think of is that (presumably) Sun's die sizes are quite large and I'm not sure what experience foundries have with huge dies on their cutting edge processes.

(Of course, Sun could be planning on simply using UMC as a second source)
