MZM is the broadest of the monetary aggregates....it is M2 minus small denomination time deposits, plus institutional money funds. M2 is M1 plus savings, small time deposits and retail money funds.
M1 is the sum of currency held by the public plus checkable deposits (all demand and other checkable deposits at banks) and traveller checks.
