ATA forget articles and reality or fundamentals for that matter. It is more and more clear that the world governments after introducing fiat money and convinced their citizen to exchange it for real assets are now inducing people into exchanging their work efforts into even more worthless pieces of paper called stock certificates. The issues of earnings, dividend, cash flow and P/E are now only obscure yardstick which are used by those insisting to put some old rational in the prices of stocks and irrelevant in today financial markets. The relative phrase of "discounted earning and earnings growth" factor was also abandoned when it did not fit the requirements of reality and earnings growth turned negative. To the delight of many THE NOW "thing" is sentiment and momentum investing it is the New Era "thing" as stocks prices can be manipulated and tossed around as a great tool of transfer of wealth from the hard working people to gamblers, speculators and the government. The events since the Republican convention in August 2000 to today's presidential statements and FED action convinced me more than ever that politicians not only will destroy their opponents but also will destroy their supporters. It reminds me of an old phrase - TO RULE PEOPLE - Keep them in the dark and do not let them get to prosperous - as they will turn against - YOU THE RULER. Nothing has change since ancient time and nothing is new under the sun ....... only technology made things easier and faster. BWDIK Haim
