mfgrep: What is the shareprice upside at this level? You might want to consider putting in some sell orders at... say $35. If you still feel AMD has upside, you can always buy on the dips that have historically always been there. This quarter is a bit hard to gauge, but my opinion is that AMD will do pretty well. The story on the recent price cuts seems to be that while official AMD prices were cut, the real price most vendors pay is largely unchanged (reports seem to indicate a cut of no more than 20%). Additional upside this quarter is Palomino launch - both mobile and server. Since AMD has pretty much zero presence in these markets, the potential effect on the bottom line (as well as market share) is very real. Of course, if the US economy suddenly takes a turn for the worse, all bets are off. Q3 might also be a very good quarter for AMD - if Intel is indeed forced to postpone its .13&#181 ramp. In Q3, desktop Palomino will presumably be out in force and quite competitive. Q4 and onward, I think it's likely that AMD will be under tremendous pressure from Intel.
