Millenium Cell - hydrogen on demand.

MCEL is working a systems based on the fact that sodium borohydride, a harmless and easily manufactured substance, produces hydrogen or electricity when mixed with water in the presence of a catalyst. Potentially an easy, safe and cost effective way to store and transport hydrogen.

Daimler-Crysler and Ballard have formal evaluation agreements with MCEL. The following is positive news on testing.

Thread, does anyone know of a source of info on the economics of alternative energies - particularly thresholds for commercial viability, critical mass for market penetration, that sort of thing? I thought I might do some research on this and provide the thread with benchmarks and rules of thumb to help inform the discussion.
