beyond that, there's the operating system to look at. win2000pro is always an option, and it handles crashing and memory resources better than win98.

Howq much of a chore is it to upgrade from Windows 98 -> 2000 on a fully loaded computer? I remember years ago hearing all sorts of horror stories about Windows upgrades, but that was several versions ago, so maybe they have improved things considerably.

My problem is that I don't have the facilities to do a complete system b/u right now. Could I even consider an OS upgrade without having this?

TIA,
Tom

mark,

I ended up downloading the video driver - I will see later (after market opens and I have the Digichat running with the MT) if it improves anything. The only problem now is since I downloaded the new driver my screen seems to be slightly unstable. When I say slightly, my husband and daughter can barely see what I am talking about, but I do notice that the screen seems to be flickering or shaking. Maybe they don't see it because they aren't in front of it all day like I am and don't notice this small change, but it is enough to annoy me. Maybe it is just a matter of getting use to, but I have to wait until 11:30 to call tech support at my computer company! If this is something that may need just a minor adjustment that I don't know about, could someone please post a suggestion.
Thanks.
