tc

my results did not produce the slow hd item, either.

"my MaxFileCache was set too low"

mine's set too high, at 297mb where they are saying cache sizes about 80mb waste disk space and can cause slower performance. hmmmm

i also got the ie restricted sites zone warning saying i should disable activeX controls marked safe for scripting (i did that) and i should disable java permissions in microsoft VM (i did that too). it had been set at 'high safety'. so far i have noticed no diff in browsing with these items disabled.

pitstop site looks like it has more to offer than just the battery of tests i ran. i'll probably spend some more time in the pits soon. <g3> thing is, my pc is running pretty darn good... knock on wood.

:)
