How can you "back out" of something you never bought into in the first place? Not even close. Senate as close to unanimous as possible told the world they would NEVER ratify the thing. A small beg to differ, JL. Changing the policy on CO2 and backing out of the Kyoto treaty are just two examples of America saying "we're gonna do what we're gonna do and we don't much care what the rest of the world thinks." That's aggressive and confrontational. A small beg to differ, that's not acting aggressive, that's just acting like a soverign nation.

But as the Senate did not ratify it and the science say that there is not definitive proof of a correlation of the dire consequences I don't see what the problem is.
