I thought I recognized you, NYCBoy! I read in a history book about how there was this especially inflamed critic of Ford. When he decided that mass automation using interchangeable parts was the way to go to build his company, this critic was saying what a moron Ford was and how he was incompetent and that cars were just a fad.

Now decades later, you are saying the same thing about Cisco and how you'd rather bet on a commodity based company than the prime mover and shaker of the Internet economy. Well, I'm sure your investment will do just fine. There's nothing wrong with low risk, low reward investments. I think they are a great way to preserve wealth. But most of us wouldn't be on these threads if we didn't want to make more money. Cisco is a damn good bet for the long term. To hell with dividends. I want stock price appreciation and that's just what Cisco will give us. Within 2-3 years, I will double my money on this puppy. You on the other hand will be lucky to earn 5-10% per year on your dividend yielding company. Phht!
