Tom,

By the time CNBC picks up the downturn a bounce may be ahead. By the way, the worst of the lot - single digit failing companies had a banner day yesterday. That is usually an indication of the end of a move.

Regards,

Dave

The way ONIS is trading baffles me. Can't understand someone buying this stock when the insiders are selling. Seems to get a lift at the end of the day. Maybe short covering?

Somebody wants out of PMCS, dropped like a rock at the EOD.

Interesting anecdotal data courtesy of Jim Seymour, who writes on RealMoney.com. He says for the first time in literally way more than a decade he's finding pessimism in Silicon Valley about how long this tech recovery (in business terms, ignoring the market) will take. Consensus from his unofficial poll is Q1/2003 to his question "How long till we collectively have a quarter we feel good about?"! Food for thought, for sure. If the people in the Valley aren't bounding with optimism...
