Twfowler. Estate tax gift.

I think it's bad enough to die but I still don't believe that the GOV should be waiting in the wings hoping it happens soon. So I really can't understand how you can call double taxation a gift. It's plain robbery. Most of what GOV does is wasted in the end or possibly ends up in the pockets of someone who does not need it. Just throwing good money after bad is not a good business practice. GOV is known for its waste so let us waste our own money. Let's take a tax rate of 28%, (39% for high income earners) state tax, county tax, soc.sec. tax, property tax, tel.tax, gasoline tax, energy tax, water tax, sales tax etc. etc. we are being taxed to death. And the upper income people are literally being taxed after death. DEATH TAX. I am surprised we don't have a birth tax. Maybe it will come one of these days.
Anyhow, so far this death tax abolition will not go too far. It will have a limit. I don't believe it's right and I don't have to worry about it to begin with. But we are talking here about squeezing every penny out of people in the name of distributing wealth from the rich to the not so rich. This country was not built on that. People came here for less GVT intervention but this is going down the drain imo. Like Bill said in an earlier post: Over 50% of the people don't pay taxes and lots of them don't mind if others pay more than their share. I am with Pres.Bush. Nobody should have to pay more than 33% in Fed taxes and I believe even that is too high. I can remember when we paid no taxes. gg. Those were the good ole days. Remember the Boston tea party? Anyhow, the GOV should tighten its belt like many tax paying citizens have to and if that means that people should not be overtaxed, so be it.

Bill. This is for you.
