$650 a month and a block from the beach? I wouldn't have believed it. Here in Glendale (near Los Angeles) an apartment in the (relative) slums would cost that much.

Hello from Honolulu

Hi Bill, I was in Honolulu just last week, but only long enough for one great dinner - at a restaurant called Aarons. It's on the top (36th floor) of a hotel (the Ana Mona, I think) in Wikiki, and if you get there early, are can get a table at the end you get a perfect view of the sun setting on the beach, and then watch the lights come on in the city on the other side. The food was excellent (try the seared ahi) and so was the service. A bit pricey, but a bargain compared to what would be charged in a place like that in LA.

Have fun!
