Zelix, Hi! Here is update on the ISV partner situation. Steve Mills, IBM's senior vice president of software, announced yesterday at the J P Morgan H & Q conference that IBM has 59 strategic partnerships with independent software companies. He credits Oracle's strategy of being "all software to all people" was pushing the independents toward IBM.

BEAS currently has over 600 ISV's developing to the BEA platform. Solomon Smith Barney says that the total building to IBM is around 200. I guess the question is "What does Steve Mills mean by "strategic partner" since his number was 59?

Anyway, I think we are seeing the network effect taking shape for BEA.

Best,

Duncan
