I don't think AMD had much to do with it. Intel got caught in a product transition (to P4), and some self induced missteps during a severe economic down turn.

I would welcome any advance notification of AMD success and try to cash in on it. But so far, it is only coming from Joe Osha and others with an emotional agenda that I can't rely on (if you get my drift).
