members.aol.com Lorne, this was my best haul last week: 1/2 oz for $9.40

Thanks for that cool URL on that Aussie's good fortune...doing the math on the nugget, and their stuff runs about 97% pure woud make that goober he stumbled over about:

264x97=$256ish per T/Oz, and valuation at US$40,000 (yes, notice that was US$ in the story and not Au$...)
would make that chunk weigh in about:156 troy ounces or a little over 13 troy pounds.

The biggest Australian nugget I ever got to hold or get my picture taken holding was a 27 pounder, and that was one heavvvvvvvvy mother! A thrill that never gets old. I hope that guy takes lots of pictures. And if you ever
find a photograph or I see one in the trades, I hope you post it or else I'll do it when I run across it in upcoming issues!

Ain't this a kick????!!!! And I taught 4 brand new panners how to do this stuff yesterday...kinda shot my day,
but it was worth it when I saw their eyes pop out!!
