The increase will raise basic rates for digital subscriber line (DSL) connections from $40 to $45 a month but
won't affect customers with a more expensive package that includes other phone services.

Re: DSL, I sat next to an Elantec VP on the flight home and he said demand for DSL chips is like a powder-keg
set to explode. I've heard the same for DSL sales in Europe. This will all lead to more pressure to improve
networks and if the current trend for increasing rates succeeds, it'll lead to success all the way around.
