I really like where Cisco is at now, because I think we're back to the old days of predictability.

Exactly the reason why 4 months ago I made the decision to start trading Cisco.

Nowadays a 2 point swing is a rarity. Back in 99 the correct
strategy in my opinion was buy and hold.

I no longer hold that thought.

Business as usual after the 100 year booms means the stock is over price. Your great grand children will be dead before this company can pay a decent dividend. At some point in time a stock must serve a real functional purpose. Today the only reason for Cisco having value is because there are gamblers in line behind you.

Cisco and all the other networking companies will always be here, but the PE ratio that they are trading at has no bearing to their long term growth rate.
