hj, i live in the best city southern cali. the problem with the housing market is that, imho, it doesn't do a good job of telling folks how the avg joe is doing. only marginal sales are factored in and if a few folks at the high end are doing well (options, etc...) then a few folks control the marginal housing market while the 90% suck wind.

i expect housing to go back to 1997-98 levels with 2-5 years in so-cal.
