These statements from the article pretty much says it all. "America's ideological foes were quick to react with glee. Cuba, a member of the commission, issued a statement immediately in Havana saying Washington was paying the price for its ``arrogance'' and ``coercive methods to achieve its aims in international bodies.'' China, also a commission member, accused the United States of attempting to use human rights as a political weapon and Iran radio called the decision a ``blow to the country's international prestige.''
