How about the sale of Optical Access? It is already tied up in a neat package ready to go with pro forma financials etc. The conference call was the first time that Noam ever uttered the phrase "M&A transactions". And Diana's subsequent use of liquidity event makes it clear that this subject is front and center on MRV's agenda. I think those bankers at Bear Stearns would switch in a heartbeat to an M&A assignment since it doesn't look like the OPXS IPO is going to help their bonus pool anytime soon. I think MRVC could get between $500 million and $750 million for it maybe not as much as some here might have planned on but these are different times and sometimes it helps to prime the pump a little. They own it all or almost all so that the prospect of that much cash on the balance sheet immediately pushes the MRV price to 15 or more. Right around June 15th, they call the convertibles forcing a conversion, distribute the LMNE and wake up with $500 million on the balance sheet, two liquidity events behind them and Zuma, Charlotte, Zaffire and Cescomm on the runway.

Nothing get's the attention of an institutional investor faster than the phrase "liquidity event". That's banker talk. They have got something going here.
