I agree, why give up your gains to the beast.

I do have a friend who was loaded to the eyeballs in puts during the '87 crash and guess what? They didn't pay off because the guys on the other side went broke. I don't know what kind of safe guards were put in place after '87 to avoid that sort of thing again.

If you've ever had to take somebody to court over money you'd know it's one thing to win the case and another to collect the dough.
