Larry,

I'm mostly a long term buyer and holder of good companies. I also have a diverse portfolio which includes some gov. and corp. bonds and money market funds as well. On the side I love to sell time value rather it be covered calls, naked calls, covered puts or naked puts. Nothing like selling time value in which 100% will waste a away to $0 in due time. I do trade a few tech stocks because of their price movements they are having now.

For the past few months I have been selling the you know what out of puts on companies I would not mind holding if they are put to me. Such as QCOM, JNPR, NTAP, OCPI, WCOM, and CHKP to name a few. It's really nice for most are expiring worthless and I keep rolling out when they do. Last year I was a net seller of naked call options and so far this year I'm a net seller of naked puts. My naked calls are sold only on stocks I'm willing to go short with if they go through my strike price and are put to me, so yes I do sell short as well.

My buy and sells are done mainly with moving averages, but will only buy if I do not mind owning the company if it does not jump as soon as I buy it. If it make a big move then I may flip it, but if it does not I will not jump out all at once either. So you want to know what moving avg., well right now I like the 9 and 59 exponential moving avg. for they are working out the best right now for me. I'm always looking at other avg., for things do change and change quite often now a days.
